Mockingbird among the leaves and so forth - advice is needed
Hello there,
I'm hoping some of you folks could help out here...I need to submit this picture soon but really don't know how it would be best to crop the thing? There's a lot of people with great eyes on the board and I wonder if some of you might share your aesthetic sense RE cropping/re-composing this image?
Canon 7D, 200mm f2.8 lens at f2.8, 1/640, iso400.
Your suggestions RE cropping would be highly appreciated...many thanks...

Very nice photo. I like the pose and habitat. The usual rule would be to have the bird looking into the frame, and I think that works fine here. So I would crop from right side of frame which would also remove distracting bright green leaves. Keeping the same aspect ratio would then mean a bit off top as well. It will be a trade off because you also don't want to make the bird too large. Better would have been to compose in the field if possible. Good luck.
I agree with removing from the right side to take out the green oof leaves. But... this will leave you with a square crop. Maybe add to the left side also? I assume this is full frame. The bird looks good, sharp eye, i love the bg color, makes me wish there was no green in this at all.
thanks kindly, folks...i like the green on the left but not on the right myself...will try to work on this a while...also I'll welcome any more suggestions...thanks again...
