This isn't as tack sharp as I would like, but I was (overly) pleased with myself for finally getting this flight position.
Can't seem to get enough of these gleaming white birds!
Definitely a cool pose you captured. I'd really like to see this at the full size allowed (up to 800 pixels on the long side, 150kb), as it is hard to really make out the details at this size.
Here you go Jim....I was a little hesitant to make it too big, because I know they can be a lot sharper when viewed at 100% than this one is. I couldn't make any billboards out of this one.;)
I like the little bit of motion blur on the wings because it as a sense of, well, motion :D The eye seems plenty sharp to me.
Exposure looks good save for a bit of brightness on the tail (near the higher foot), and even there only the red channel is really close to hot.
I don't mind the shadows under the wings, but the shadow of the bill bugs me a little. Mind you, it took me a while looking really hard before I noticed it, so for the casual viewer, I'm betting it isn't an issue.
