    Default Short-billed Dowitcher - simplified

I was checking my new 70-200 f2.8 IS II in low light when this Dowitcher flew into the frame. I played with slow shutter speed and settled on this one. For processing used Topaz Adjust to get some details and saturation followed by Topaz Simplify and then changed opacity of the layer along with a mask to recover some of the details. Hope you like it...

Nice sense of motion with this, Indranil, like the light, and overall softness. Bird is well placed in frame and neutral BG color, with subtle diagonal ripples, works very well.

Indranil, I like the soft feel to this and the sense of motion. The bird is placed well in the frame for me.

The blur works well here. Nice composition and processing.

A wicked pleasing pan blur. Love the soft light and the pose. A bit more density and detail in the white rump triangle would be ideal.
