What gorgeous light! And what a bird! But what is coming out of his/her left eye? Yikes!

Prabir, fantastic shot. The thing on the left eye is a bit distracting.

Angelika, Frank, Jack, Suresh - thanks a lot.
Friends, that something coming out of her eyes is probably from an injury. I have a close up of this bird taken from the left up, it shows clealy. I guess, she has hurt her eye ring somehow. I am attaching a crop of the close up. Please don't consider this as an entry. Its a low resolution image for showing the detail.

It looks like one of those thorns from the branch that she is sitting on. Beautiful image.

Dangerous business, flying into a thorn tree. Second image is very interesting; but for the portrait I think I would clone out the thorn. And maybe add a slivver of space at the bottom. A very handsome image in any case.

The original is beautiful. I would clone out the thorn from the eye.

Agree on a thorn and agree on removing it. Ditto all the positive comments above. The bird, however, it too large in the frame for me and the tail is too, too close to the frame edge; as a general, I believe that the subject (as presented) should not take up more than 75% of the longest dimension of the frame.

very nice pose and details, I am ok with the bird size in the frame but agree it's too tight on the bottom
