    Killer bird, pose, perch, BG, EXp, details...just wish for a looser crop. Great job on getting this guy considering your distance. This capture depicts the species very nicely.

    No way you could have taken the 1.4 off? I realize sometimes you just have to go with your setup instead of risking spooking the bird. I do wish for a bit more room above and below, but that is clearly a personal preference (and my style, I don't expect it to be yours!) Love the colors and the background.

    Lovely bg, eye contact, light and details. Must be great to get a kingfisher this close.
    Not the best perch a slightly big in the frame, but I'd take this image any day.
