    I took this one last summer in the late morning. I thought about cloning out the tree in the background but I think it adds an anchor to the image. What say you?

    Technical bits
    Nikon D80
    Nikon 80-200mm 1:2.8 AF-D (at 200mm)
    ISO 400 f/7.1 1/800sec
    spot metering, shutter priority
    (rookie mistake - I took this in jpeg mode - forgot to switch back to raw after taking snapshots of the family :o)

    Hi Leroy,

    You did well with the exposure. YES!! the green is a HUGE distraction. I could not agree more with you in cloning that out!

    I would love to see the wings in the upper side of the bird, but this one works well for me.
