    It just looks like this guy isnt going to make it, but as large as they are, they always land safely on a perch. Taken early morning, at the University of Pretoria a while back.

    Hi Stuart. Very nice landing posture and incoming angle. Excellent exposure/feather details, and I think the image balances out perfectly with the vegetation filling the opposing corner. Well done.

    Lovely landing pose and love that sky! It really makes the bird pop and I like the fact that you can see the shrubbery where is landing.

    Nice landing pose, and I like the amount of vegetation you have included. Wonderful sky! The heron looks oversharpened in spots (especially the face).

    Hi Stu, this is fantastic capture...Nice landing pose and usually I do not like sky as BG but here BG Sky isn't flat and looks beautiful for this image...

    The light is crazy good, and I just love the bg. Never happened before, but I'd take this sky bg over a foliage bg!
    The pose, comp and vegetation are all great.
