Dusted off the old DAP in memory of Dave. I added four textures, some falling snow, and an orton effect to this photo of one of the farm ponies. I then applied DAP using Benson, my favorite preset, and partially masked it off the pony.

Chris, nice image. This would make a lovely card, great effects and composition. I might lighten the bottom right corner and the area near the mussle of the horse. Lovely work.

Christopher, You have really mastered the use of textures and creating soft effects. This is lovely I wouldn't change a thing.

Being a horse person, I just love this. This is soooo beautiful. Were the snowflakes there or did you add it somehow? Love it!!!

Sandy, I added the snowflakes in Photoshop. I used Dave Seeram's Snowscape action, you can find it here.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone! I've been working on a whole series of pony-in-the-snow images like this, so you'll see more.

Very nice composition, Christopher! Nice job with textures and love the falling snow effect. Agree about lightening the LRC a bit. Thanks for the link and looking forward to more from the series.
