    Default Heron

I have stumbled across this shot on an old external hard drive.
Shot taken April 2011. At a local fishing pool.

Hi Paul, good in flight catch with nice sharpness. I might try cropping some off the bottom but still like this as presented.

Nice light, good sharpness, and excellent wing position and eye contact. I like the idea of cropping off the bottom.

Nice and sharp with good light and details. Needs some CCW rotation to my eyes. I took it into PS and looks much better with some rotation. The water didn't look right to me and the heron appears to be flying down a little.

Nice shot - must be nice to stumble across a shot of such quality!! I know the angle of shot can be deceiving but does it require a little anticlockwise rotation?? I too would place a little lower in the frame and just a tad more to the right.
