    Well captured Dave.
    I like the contrast between perch and owl.
    Not to detract from a wonderful shot I would peronally take the branch out from beneath the bird.

    This is a stunning image,Dave, and the perch is almost as super as the owl. Love the green on the perch and the killer light!!! I imagine you are quite proud of this one!

    Wow Dave....very nice! Wonderful catch of subject and a nice perch. Another vote for taking out the lower branch.

    Dave, absolutely gorgeous. loved the composition....thats the best part of this image IMO. Nice to see eyes full open. whites look great.

    Lower branch does not bother me but it would be easy to remove. Thats one sharp image at 1/80 sec with that lens, nice technique obviously!

    Beautiful image, Dave. The large slanting perch gives a nice tension to the comp - and those spellbinding eyes.

    Dave,
    The eyes on this really make the photo. Also the natural perch with the green moss is killer. Nice light as well. I think the lower brance adds a bit of ballance if you took it away it would look too much like a BOAS (bird on a stick) shot.

    Thanks everyone. A touch more DoF would have been nice but I am quite happy with this one.
