Beautiful composition, Peter! Love the pose, placement, splash of color. BG, and curve to perch work well. Fine with the shallow DOF. Nice work.

This is pretty cool! Great IQ with ery nice details and I love the shallow DOF on this fella...and of course the tongue is a special bonus! Too bad that twig cuts in front of the subject, and I would eliminate the lone one at right edge of the frame.

P.S. The copyright and your name would suffice, not sure you need to add "All rights reserved"...it just distracts from your beautiful image.

    Thank you Brendan.

Appreciate the comments. The only thing wish I could change is that small branch in front of him. I was just happy he let me get as close as I did, even if he was sticking out his tongue...

    Daniel,

Thank you very much. Yes - that darn twig got in the way. Wish I had the skills to remove that. Not sure I can do it in Lightroom without it looking a bit strange. I don't have photoshop, but I'm guessing it could be removed in photoshop without too much trouble. I will take another look too at the comp - it can easily be cropped a bit more to adjust the right edge a bit.

Regarding the copyright - I will take your advice - just started posting here so wasn't quite sure what was proper for that. I agree - less is more in that regard.
