Love the attentive gaze, soft evening glow and the way she pops out of the frame, great BG also Brendon, shame about the tyre tracks but you get that.

Brendon - I agree with Marc on all counts, nice light, look and contrast. Very nice image.

Hi Brendon, I like the pose/gaze, but I feel the blacks in the face a little heavy, choking any detail, did you apply Curves or Contrast, or both? If you have it, I might try moving the whole crop up and a bit to the left so the subject is not so central and you reduce the amount of dead space in the FG, just a thought. Not sure about your feelings on some gardening, but the foliage falling into the track, LHS of the lioness is not ideal, but no deal breaker. BTW is the track that 'Dusty pink' colour?

    Bremdon,

Unfortunately I am back in UK looking at this on a cheap monitor, the road looks remarkably "pink".

Other than that a very nice pose, you probably remember my dislike of roads

Love the pose and soft light here Brendon.
I agree with Steve's crop suggestion. I think adding some black to the reds might sort out the road colour? I would also dodge the shadow detail on the face.

Thanks all for the great comments. The comp as presented was due to this image being used as a cover image of a magazine, therefore allowing space for name on top and features around, i did however forget to alter for an otherwise stronger comp when posting.

Might be worth a RP then Brendon, also what about the colour of the soil?

Light looks sureal! The blacks in the face don't bother me. As stated pose is super.

The repost is very nice. I especially like the f4 DOF, really separates it and makes it stand out.
I do not know enough about the colors of African roads to make an opinion. Looks fine to me.

Hi Brendon, looks a lot better overall, although now you have gone in tighter it has highlighted a small lean in posture because she is standing on a slight incline. Would suggest a minor CCW rotation say 1.8, or whatever looks visually right, as the surrounding content is not affected?

Yup, we have lions on our roads here in Oz, but don't tell anyone or the wildlife secret will get out!

Lovely pose, really like the repost. Well done.
