Dave had a huge influence on me, introducing me the Seeram actions that I really like but haven't used for a while. Here, I used the free, one-click illustration version on this gull. Google Dave Seeram actions and see what is available, some are free! Hope you like it, Mr. Phillips!

Dan, I like the effect and soft clean background. Dave always shared so much with all of us. Thank you for sharing this Dan. I might take a sliver off the bottom and add a little bit to the front if it were mine.

The subtle greys contrasted with the bright beak creates a surprisingly riveting image. Real nice...

Dan, Dave would have loved this I do think a crop from the bottom would be nice.

Dan, this is very nice. I love your low angle approach. I also like the clean look and the colors. For me fg OOF is a bit of distraction and do agree a bit off the bottom will be nice.

Nice effects, fitting perfectly with the theme. I heard about the Falcated duck (I was supposed to fly out there last week), my friend did go and saw both the Falcated Duck and the Laysan Albatross.
Thanks for the new site for tracking new birds....Paul

Thanks all. Paul, you are welcome, the Falcated is still up there but not being seen daily as before. The albatross will probably be in and out for the next month or so. Come on down!!

This turned out real nice, Dan, and like your base image. Thanks for passing on the info regarding Seeram actions that Dave introduced you to.

Very captivating treatment, Dan. I really like the image. Agree on crop suggestions. Very appealing to me.
