    Default Boundary Bay Snowy

After reading Dan's post in the General Discussion forum I went and checked my records. This one is from Nov 21/11, which is about when the owls first showed here. Although on the wrong side of the owl for the light, a bit too close, and the distant shore through the bird, I thought I would post anyway. This bird had been popped up by a distant photographer and happened to fly right by me.
Canvas added to right and bottom and then cropped from left and top.

You are right about the shoreline, and I'd prefer the wings to be fully up or down...but I love the open bill and very clear eye! I like the crop.

    Hey Dave,
Nice to see some more pics from our neck of the woods. You can tell he is new in town. No Boundary Bay mud on the tips yet. Nice clear eye and open mouth adds to the shot.

    Take care,

    Steve

Hi Dave, well exposed on the snowy, and I do like the detail on the head. Love how the yellow eye stands out, and the open beak a bonus. Nicely separated from the BG too.
