    Hi all,

Sorry it has been a while since I last posted in Avian.

I have been photographing Short Eared Owls for the last two months waiting for the elements to come together. This is my best image to date but I will keep trying to improve.

Plenty more images can be found on my BLOG

    C&C welcome.

Hey Austin what did you say about weather and light - just looked at your techs - wish I had been there! Nice shot noise free, good subtle background, the face looks perhaps a little too bright?? Did you brighten it up?

A fine image. Love the incoming flight, the comp, and the hint of grassland habitat. Well done.

Lovely photo. Nicely placed in frame and I like the nice sweeping aspect of the bg. It is different.

Hi Austin, good flying angle and eye contact, and just love the way the owl pops from the BG. The colour of the BG compliments the owl nicely.
