    This is a stitched 5 picture pano of a red-breasted merganser taking off. Taken at the Cape Cod Canal. Nikon D3s 500 f 4 + 1.7 converter ISO 800 f/8 1/1000 sec

    Nicely done. It must have taken some work pp'n. I like the dof and looks very sharp. A larger file would help a lot I am sure.

    Not to much work pp in PS 5 I utilized the article that George Lepp wrote in a recent Outdoor Photographer magazine and it is available on line in the how to section. The hardest part was deciding how big to make the new layer since each of the images I utilized was full frame and not cropped. You open all the images in PS and float all make a new separate new layer. drag the first picture and place it on the new layer, now drag the second picture on to the image reduce opacity to 50%, line up the picture, bring opacity back to 100%, add a layer mask and with a soft brush bring the portion of the first image that you want to show into view, then repeat the steps

    Myer, You did a great job putting this together. I agree a larger image wuld be nice.

    I like this a lot. I enjoy watching water fowl take off and this image allows me to see the different positions. Nicely done!

    BTW all pictures were almost full frame
