A really beautiful image Rachel, the fine detail and rich colour of the bears coat contrasts well for me with the green colour of the water. Also like the comp. Well done with this one

That's a beautiful happy bear. Nice details on the bear, and great contrast.

Sorry, but for me the light is on the wrong side of the bear.

i like it, and the light seems fine to me.
I like it as presented, although a tighter crop if you can would also look good.

Lovely image, great textures in the fur and like the contrast with the green water, ditto Dan on possibly trying a tighter crop?

Thanks all for the kind comments, very much appreciated. Dan and Brendon - it might hold up to a tighter crop but I really cropped this to include several elements in the composition - the fg grasses, the bg grasses, and the wake of the bear. I think going tighter I would either lose some of these elements or alter the balance. Thanks for the suggestion though and if you have a crop that you think works, I'm always willing to take a look.

    Thanks,
    Rachel

I like it too, Rachel. My first thought was a crop from the top to lose the reeds. Looking again made me decide otherwise (though it might be good to compare?).

Thanks Morkel, I did look at cropping out the reeds on top but I personally prefer it with them though I did reduce the amount there in the post as compared to out of camera.

    Thanks again,
    Rachel
