    Default Oriental Darter

    Saw this at a lake at Mysore, 130 km from Bangalore (INDIA).
    50D, 400mmf/5.6
    1/800s, f/6.3, Pattern, Handheld, shot from a paddle boat in mid-afternoon, didn't get a friendly light.

    Hi Prabir, a typical darter pose. Im not sure if you captured this vertical, but if not, I would open this up to a horizontal crop to allow for more space all round. I would also give this CW rotation, and feel it wouldnt spoil the pose. I also wish he had turned his head a little more towards you.

    Thanks Stuart. We were on a paddle boat on the lake and the bird was perching in the branch in a small island. I have not cropped anything out, as we were very close and with my 400mm I could just cover the whole body. I got a few more shots, but all of them were very close and we could shoot her for hardly 5 minutes.
