From December, a full-frame image @190mm of this beautiful deer that was coming in for shelled peanuts. A new coating of snow provided a clean "carpet" to help make the image looking fresh and tidy. I was kneeling in a small 3 foot deep divot that helped me achieve the very low angle without the need to lie flat on the ground.

    Canon 7D + 100-400L @190mm, aperture priority, evaluative metering, 1/1250s., f/7.1, ISO 400, -0.3 EC, natural light, handheld.

Hey Daniel, nice to see you stretching your legs and posting here.

I like the comp and for me, it has a very gentle feel. Great IQ as ever, with lovely light, good detail in the eye where it counts, plus that sheen on the antlers. Undecided about 'slightly' toning down the tree on the LHS just in front of the rack?

    This is really nice.
I love the angle and the IQ is the usual smooth as silk.

I like the close crop you chose here Daniel. Great IQ as can be expected, and well exposed.
