    D200 + 80-400 VR @ 400mm, ISO 400, 1/1000, f8, fill flash (SB800 + Better Beamer)

    This photo is about a year old and taken at Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge on Sanibel Island, Florida.

    I like the hunting pose, the angle is bit steep, it would have been better to get lower if possible. It would also be ideal if the head were parallel to the back of the camera.

    Details and exposure look good. Nice smoothly ondulating water. I'd prefer the subject not angled away from us, I agree the angle is steep (I know it's not always possible to get lower) and the comp is a bit tight IMO.

    Nice and sharp and well done on the hunting pose as mentioned. Good suggestions already made. I might look at brightening up the bird a bit more.

    Sharp and lovely pose here . Agree with others on the HA and the steep angle .
