Nice soft light, would prefer it looking into camera.

Hi Ramesh, nice looking Leopard and I like the position & crop, just enough space for the Leopard to walk into and enough for the subject to 'breathe'. Good choice with regard to DOF, just the right amount of detail & clarity for me, with a nice diffused BKG.

To me, looking at the overall colour there seems to be some colour coming through that is masking some of the detail and nice colour of the Leopard, especially when you look at the head, eyes and the bridge of the nose. It might be worth looking at the Colour temperature of the RAW and moving the slider to the left making it slightly cooler, or, if you have added any saturation, adjusting some of the sliders.

Although this might be a little too cool, it might help explain my thinking.

    Hope this helps.

Hi it's a nice looking image but the head/eyes do not look sharp.

I like the pov and the way you've framed the leopard but agree that the eyes look like they could be sharper.

    Ramesh,

This is a remarkably good shot of a Leopard whiich just needs a bit of further work to make it look good here.

Firstly the image is not as sharp as it could be, did you sharpen after converting for posting, as IMHO additional sharpening is nearly always needed at this resolution.

The contrast and colours also need some boosting the simplest method for contrast would be to apply some Linear Contrast from the curves preset, slight twaeks in colour can be made in many ways to suit your taste.

Here is a slightly exaggerated version probably too yellow

Of the three posting thus far, I prefer color on first, original image. Although the other two are acceptable for me.

Lovely sighting and image, colour wise i think something between yours and Kens, i like the warm feeling, steves i good too but just a bit too cool for my liking. The biggest pitty on this image is that the mail focus poins seems to be on the chest and forelegs as the head is not sharp at all.

I love the head-on approach and the soft light here. I see the sharpness issue here as a result of perhaps choosing the wrong focus point? It does seem (as Brendon said) like the rump/side/chest of the leopard is considerably sharper than the face? I would sharpen the face some more selectively...

Great shot Ramesh, and as everybody said, the face portion is not as sharp. Ken's repost is superb but would like to tone the yellows a bit on the background. All in all, excellent image!
