Default Wet owl, a pleasant surprise!!!

So I lost my CF card slip in my first trip to WA, so I had to come home with tearful eyes :( I made a second trip to get some extra frames, but last week Tin Man Lee contacted me saying he had found my cards!!! He kindly mailed me the cards and today I downloaded the images. Thanks to SanDisk the extreme CFs had withstood extreme conditions, rain and low temperatures in over a month. All images downloaded successfully. Thanks a lot Tin Man for locating my cards and thanks SanDisk for keeping my data safe. Here is an image from the first trip, the owl's face is wet

Lucky man! And a very nice picture too. The texture of the image is nice and smooth and its good to see one of these guys a little "scruffly" looking.
to Mr. Lee for his integrity and efforts to get your cards back to you.

    Great shot and better story!
What a small world, or just fortunate luck.
I like the wet owl a lot. The feathers look even better and a nice perch.
Kudos to Tin Man for finding them.
    Remarkable!

Very pleased for you Arash, it must have been pretty upsetting to think you had lost images of this quality.

Great shot ot the Snowy Owl. Everyone seems to be having luck finding these beauties, we had them here 4 years in a row but not this year or last. I think they knew we were going to have a wet winter here instead of the usual snow. Great you got your cards back, I thought they would work. One of my cards went through the laundry and it still worked.

Hey Arash, Congrats man.....The wet Owl definitely looks cool on that nice perch..And thanks to Tin Man Lee, we will get to see some more great snowy shots...you must be on cloud 9

This must be the first time someone got back CF cards lost in field so far away from home...Lucky you!

You are one lucky guy, Arash!!!! Love the look of this one. I read something interesting yesterday about the snowies. That if it is not raining and you find the snowies' underside wet in the mornings may b/c they have resorted to chasing shorebirds as their prey.

All is well that ends well and HURRAY for SanDisk. I agree they are strong...when I consider how many times I have put mine through the wash accidentally and continue to use them without incident.

Excellent look at this wet, grumpy looking fella.
I can imagine the relief - thanks to Tin Man and Sandisk. Those guys do make hardy cards - mine too have withstood a few washer and dryer cycles :)
