    Common Kestrel sitting on an apple tree (I think...)
    I made the picture today in the evening, when I was cruising around. I was quite happy to find this wonderful bird :)

    Mark III / 500mm + 1.7 TC
    1/250 sec. / f 4.5 / ISO 1000
    + 1 2/3 Exp. corr.

    Great exposure and eye contact ....I think this is cherry tree ;)

    A thin black border would enhance this image tremendously for web presentaion - especially for this site's white bg colour. Awesome perch you got it on...and I like the head-on look it gave you. :-)

    I agree with all the positive comments; this is a superb image - perhaps your best yet Rosl. However, the image is crying out for a thin border. . . .

    I am happy with that picture....

    Here I added a small border, do follow your good advice.

    The image is made near to my home (West Germany), there are a lot of common kestrels, but the it is the perch that adds in this one, I think.
