I keep photographing this guy out of our window since it seems to never stop raining or snowing in Illinois this year. Thought I would play around a little. Is it too big, should I crop more?

Agree with Harold on the crop Looks fine You are getting a good bg If you are able might want to stop down one for dof and sharpness The eye is sharp but not what I would call critically sharp

Would keep working the little guy Doing very well with him !!!!

A nice looking bird in good light, Sid. I think the crop is fine. You might want to rig up a more natural-looking perch for him to use. The bird is a bit soft. Are you shooting through the window? I used to try this a lot, but found it very difficult to get a razor sharp image when shooting through the window pane. Most of my images looked very similar to yours. I agree with Alfred that stopping down to f/8 or so would help DOF at this close distance.
