Hope you are not getting bored of these :-) I have a variety of compositions of this cooperative fellow. Got many such tight ones before backing off and positioning myself to get the walking series. I knew he'd walk back to his burrow after spending time away from it in the flowers.

    40D. 400f5.6L at f/6.3. iso 400. 1/2000s. full-frame. light was very nice that morning.

    All comments welcome.

Kaustubh, I really loved this one...Excellent exposure, Sharpness, pose and that BG compliments really well.

I liked the composition as well.

All your BUOW images so far have been top-notch, but this is one of my favorites.
The setting, the light, the expression, angle, comp - everything just about perfect imo.
    Excellent work!

Lovely warm light, and the flowers are a nice addition. Can't get better eye contact than this. I wanted to shift the bird a little in the frame - he seems a little too centered - but I can't find a comp that works better than what you did in the camera. Well done. Can't get tired of these little fellows.

This little guy seems to have quite an attitude! I really like the contrast of the sharp owl vs. the soft, diffused colorful foreground. And the soft bands of blue and brown make a great bkgd. These owls are always great to see.
