Fantastic details, light, sharpness, bg and pose. I love Godwits.I do like your comp, but to me, the open mouth, the gorgeous bill, the sharp head and eye are the highlights of this image. I would probably emphasize on those with a slightly different comp.

Frank, absolutely beautiful. Terrific composition....like the bird entering the frame diagonally, the eye at ROT line and then the lines created by the bill...lower mandible pointing towards the corner. Eye flows through the image perfectly.
