Hello everyone. Well this past year I decided to try a set up in my backyard. Not the greatest place since its shaded all the time. I had seen these birds before and I really wanted a shot. After weeks of waiting my patience finally paid off. I was able to capture some real nice shots of this beautiful little bird.

Love how the bird's colors gel with the backgrounds. Also a nice touch to
include the green on the limb. The eye is nice and sharp and great detail
    overall on the body.

Good for you Robert. Your patience paid off handsomely with this beautiful image. I agree with Doug that the background colors are such a lovely compliment to the bird. Sharp, detailed, very well done.

Beautiful image Robert! I like the pose, perch and BG. I see a blue cast on the image. Here it is with the cast removed.

Terrific work, Robert. Your patience paid off handsomely indeed. Love the wintery feel to this image. Everything has come together very nicely here.
Jim's repost with the blue cast fixed looks great. Looking forward to more from your backyard.

Robert, I like the image design. Lots of great details, clean BG, simple but effective setup(without looking too much like a set up). Since the bill and feet are sharp, I like the DOF coverage. I actually like the OOF tail.
