Found this old file that brought back some fun memories and a big smile to my face, so decided to work it up. This is a very young Black Skimmer practicing its art. The light was a bit high, but I really liked the behavior.

There are many things that appeal: the shimmering water droplets, the sweet shades of blue, and of course the bird itself...I like the head turn too...it doesn't hurt that the bird is a cutiepie too

Very nice Marina. I think it would be tough to have eye contact and show this behaviour at the same time, so the lack of eye contact should be ok in this case. It is a fun image and as always these young shorebirds are cute little fuzzballs.

Wonderful shot. Love the low shooting angle and the water drops. Great background and great behavior caught.
    Well done.

Great image Marina! I like the low angle, action, composition and IQ.
