Cover of FWC Everglades Snail Kite Pamphlet

Early last year, I had the pleasure of donating several photographs to the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) for a Snail Kite project. It seems the project has been completed, and I am pleased to announce and feel pretty honored that my male Snail Kite take off photo made the cover of their pamphlet. My friend Mike Tracy also donated several of his amazing Snail Kite photos which are included within the pamphlet. It is very informative, and I assume it is going to be disseminated at various parks around Florida. I was a little disappointed that my photo is overexposed, but they did consult me on the crop which we finally agreed to. My experience in donating my work to the FWC has been a positive one, and they have been really good to work with.

I was remiss in my omission that had it not been for my good friend Mike Tracy not taking me out on Lake Toho to photograph Snail Kites, this photo would not have been possible. For anyone interested in capturing these raptors on Toho, Mike has been going out there for years and knows the area well.
