I anticipated that the owl will walk towards its burrow and positioned myself to capture this. this the best direct eye contact shot I got in that series.

40D. 400f5.6L wide-open. iso 640. 1/1600s. manual exposure. would have stopped down a bit if sun wasn't behind clouds.

    All comments welcome.

Reminds me of the look some of my teachers gave me at school!! Lovley lighting and these little guys are one character filled bird. I like the slightly raised back foot.

Hey now! This is one lovely and charming photograph! I have no complaints, only praise RE the IQ and the bird's character and the color and the composition...lucky you and lucky us too for seeing such a bird...

Nice image - I love the detail with the small plant and yellowish rock at its feet.

I love the stare, the soft BKGR, your choice of perspective, the image design, the soft light, and the slightly raised rear foot.

Great image. You did well anticipating its reaction to you. The pose kind of reminds me of a Sears male model in a pants ad.

Great image Kaustubh! I like the low angle, marching pose, details, lighting and BG. Looks like he is coming over to knock the camera out of your hands.

Excellent pose, stare, low angle, bg. The green by the foot is a nice enhancement.
