This was taken a week ago. I thought I had a Bushtit but am told it is a female Common Yellowthroat. The image is 50% cropped. I'd appreciate any comment, and particularly about noise and focus and sharpness.

Even though this species is abundant, the females especially can be difficult to photograph. I don't see any noticeable noise in the image at this size. As I look a bit more I see what looks to be some strange 'chunkiness' in the plumage that might be from too much noise reduction? As far sharpness, I think the image is sharp, but it needs some selective sharpening in post-processing to bring out the bird and its face. I'd like the bird a bit more to the right of the frame. The extra branches in this image make be feel like the bird is a bit squished if that makes sense. There also seems to be something strange going on with the branches on the top since they have some sort of halo/blur that's not elsewhere in the image.

this one is much better than last one, I don't see much noise but I can tell you had to run some heavy NR (which is surprising given the low ISO) as the feather details are lacking a bit. There is some fringing around the bird (must come from the 2X TC wide open). The oof spot near the tail and the upper oof diagonal branch with large halo are distracting. I am not sure the zoom lens can handle the 2X TC wide open, you need to stop at least one stop if you want a sharp photo.

Arash, thanks. Up to now I have been using my 2X TC wide open, for its reach. I will try stopping down next time out.
