I bet you couldn't believe it when he raised one foot and called! Great shot perhaps just a tad too much space on the right.

Frank. This is amazing crisp shot. The raised feet is plus.
Wing position and singing pose is real plus here. sweet light too.

I personally feel that the Godwits size appears to be so small though in breeding coats compare to once we see at our place in INDIA. they are real biggy.

Whats there brown on 3rd finger on perch ?

Beautiful image Frank! I like the wing position, open beak, raised foot, sharpness and BG. I would clone out that nail on top of the post that Mital mentioned.

Love the action, background, and composition! Technically everything's spot on. In a perfect world I might want a different perch, but it's a quibble in a such a good shot.

Thank you sir! I need to get to Texel. Love the open bill, raised foot, and raised wings. Head angle good; EXP and sharpness perfect. BKGR sweet. It would be easy to lose the rusted metal hook. My only wish is that the wings had been fully extended skyward. Thanks for posting this at my request. More males of this species always welcome :)
