I was still playing with the Loon image, this is the final result. I used fotosketcher to give this a pastel effect. I have a friend who will print this on canvas minus the frame. I will try to recreate the frame using stains.
Hope you like it.
It will go along nicely with a carving I did of a Loon in the Mancave...
Paul, this has turned out very nice. I can totally see this hanging on the wall. I like the effect and the color. I typically do not prefer frames but the wood stain looks awesome and complements the color scheme. I am thinking a round of NR on the water may enhance it further. TFS.
Love the image, Paul, especially the reflection, the wave pattern and pastel colors. If it were mine I would use a much thinner frame; as is, it almost overwhelms the beautiful loon image. TFS!
Paul: I wish the resolution were better so I could see the details of the Loon, but I assume you were restricted by the posting limitations. I assume there are details in the head and eye of the actual image you will have printed. The dark look against the lighter water stands out nicely. I also like how the bird is framed by the circles of water. I might crop some off the bottom. The frame is a little overwhelming to me but may look completely different as a real frame. I often wonder what photographers do with all their wonderful images. I'm delighted to know you plan to print, frame and hang this one in your house.
Paul, I think that your base image is lovely. The pose and the water look very nice. Artie may say that the head is angled away slightly. If it were mine I might remove the blue outside frame.
Paul, that's going to be wonderful addition to you Man Cave! Nicely done...strong base image with some great textural work in the processing. Hang it with pride!
