Stunning shot and it amazes me how close you are able to get to these. Over here they fly off when you get within 70 meters from them..

    Thanks Jeron.

Indeed this is quite close just about 15% to 20% cropped..

THe Only possibility in my this region to capture them nicely is lay down flat on ground and that too after 5 or 5:30 pm when they come to roost.
The true benifit of the place is that you see the sun set at complete horizon being it a plain 1000's km flat salty desert without trees. just small bushes.

Nice look at this awesome beauty. Great job getting this close to a Montagu's and then nailing a shot like this.
That long slender body would be a comp challenge for me. With this HA, I think I'd move him a bit more to the right, but I'm not sure.
Love the light and the bg too!

Thanks Sidharth. You have a valid point . May be reducing the size of bird and adding space on left with lesser crop might help here for what you have suggested. Here

    Is the Repost.

I like the repost more. awesome portratit...low angle, details, pose...that green color in the BG...perfect. Some might like the feet to be visible, but I personally prefer lower angles like this even if that means feet getting obscured.
