Ken - nice pose and stare, very regal looking. Maybe a little more selective sharpening because the front paw looks a little sharper than the head to me. Is this full frame or cropped? If you had more room to the left then I would consider adding some to the left and cropping some from the rhs, moving the leopard off center, giving more room for it to gaze into and eliminating some of the bright bg on the lower right. I'm still trying for my leopard in a tree shot so well done and one I would be happy to have.

    TFS,
    Rachel

    Rachel,

Thanks for your comment, firstly this is full frames as to height with a sliver taken from RHS, I was trying to avoid as much of the btight sky as possible.

In DPP the AF point is on the bridge of the nose so it is unclear to me why the paw seems sharper.

Thanks everybody for your comments, much appreciated. As always the light (or rather excluding it) was the determinant for our positioning, hence the "pesky" branch in BG

    Ken,

I am with your original comp. IMO adding a little more tree on the left may over power the subject. I kind of feel its well balanced as composed.
Very nice image considering the difficult conditions.

Superb pose here Ken, with the resting front paw, very majestic indeed. The BG is what it is.

Overall I like the comp and setting. Nice-looking male too.
To my eyes the image looks like it has a yellow and greenish cast...would do a slight adjustment in Colour Balance but it should be easy to sort out.
It's good that the head is set entirely against the BG branch.
