    Hi Guys,

Had a nice day out today with a friend of mine looking for Bearded Reedlings amongst others. The light was sweet and we got away with some lovely shots. Here's one of them..

    greetings,

    Joel,
This is excellent. I love the simple, elegant lines created by the grass. Composition is so nice. The BG and colors and light are beautiful...and did I mention how sweet that little bird is? I might back off a tiny bit on the sharpening (grass looks a bit crispy) but otherwise a 10 out of 10 from me

This is a good example of how a bird being small in the frame can be visually more appealing than tight close ups. To make it so can be much harder because of the additional elements needed to make the image appealing. This is top class. Superb image quality and composition and colours. It's got the lot! Some may wish that the frost was not on the bill but that does not bother me and in a way lends to a story.

A truly outstanding shot, those complimentary colours in the bird and background are absolutely amazing. My only suggestion - I think it is a little over-sharpened.

I adore this for all of the obvious reasons and one that's less so: this photo makes me feel warm and reinforces my love of nature's palette...I have no critique nor do I have any suggestions, but will congratulate you on a truly special image...

Hi Jeroen, the image design in this is outstanding, and you have the light and colours to go with it. Of course, the pose of the little fellow, puts this over the top.
