Cheryl, this is a beautiful treatment of the image...I'd be tempted...maybe!...to mask back a bit more detail in the sandhill crane...and...maybe!...to darken the background highlights just a tad. It's one of those images that is so good on it's own that it's hard to know if my suggestions would hold merit without seeing them...I love the work you did here with DAP. Nicely done!

Cheryl, this is a wonderful image and DAP composition! Love the painterly effect and the colors. Excellent tribute to Dave on his style and great way to get the theme started.

Cheryl, Great tribute image. I am working on one for the theme. I really like the DAP treatment and so did Dave. I might take a sliver off the top if it were mine. Nice work!

Very masterfully done, Cheryl, congrats! Echoing John, I agree that - maybe- enhancing the crane just a bit would give it more balance. Not sure, though...

I love the soft light and colors and the effect but find myself wishing that the crane stood out a bit better from the BKGR.

I agree with Arthur. I wish the crane stood out more. I didn't know Dave's work, so can't comment on that. Lovely painterly treatment.

Hi Cheryl, I love the treatment you gave this one. I also wish the crane stood out a little better, I think it is mostly the head and neck that are blending into the background just a little too much. Maybe darkening the background area around the head and neck would help
