    Last year on Texel/Nederlande, i love this BG color.
    1DMIV, EF500 & EX 1.4x, 1/2000 sec, f/7.1, ISO 400, free hand.

    Hi Frank,
    I agree with you that the Bg is lovely. I like the pose and the HA is OK because of the light and shows the beak off well. I like the visibility of the feet. Perch is OK. I wish for a bit more DOF so that the tail would be in focus but that is a minor nit. Good job HH,

    Superb image,background and subject. Perch is ok, not my favorite but still works nicely TFS

    Hi Frank, good overall detail captured, and sharp where it counts. You certainly do have a fantastic BG here, and love the two tone colours. Sometimes we cant help where they perch, and a better head angle would have put this over the top.

    Sharp with a nice exposure and a lovely BKGR. You did fairly well with somewhat harsh light; a bit darker overall would likely help.

    The head angle does not work for me as the bird's head is angled away from the imaging sensor. With the bird's body angled well towards us I would like to see the head angled towards us about half of that..... If that makes sense.

    i like the background and also sharpness etc. is very nice as art mentioned ... the pose have room to improve!
    (and i know you have some very nice ones in your portfolio)

    Lovely shot...The bird is sharp and nice and that BG is beautiful...HA is not perfect and that is the only nit in this beautiful image.
