    s/s 1/1600 f6.3 iso 500. 50% crop little work done in photoshop sharpen/temp.

    shot from reserve hide Lincolnshire U.K. using Canon mk4 with Canon 300mm f2.8 with a Canon 2.0ex handheld.

    Very cool, Don. It's not often that one gets to see a bittern in flight here. Love the two toned bg, a look at those feet.
    Would have been even better if the bird were angled towards you, but I'll take a bittern in flight at any angle ;)
    Appears just a tad dark on my monitor.

    I would love a flight photo of one.
    Very hard to get, the angle could be better, but I am still envious.

    I haven't seen too many flight shots of this bird...agree with Sid and Dan about angle of flight.Great work.
