One of those impossible to fit into 250MB images. So, just a taste...




Maybe a 1/4 of the original. Topaz Simplify - BuzSim is the base here (so detail adjustments off the default), Topaz Adjust (one of the vibrant collection) tops off the color & Topaz Detail finishes the texture (and knocks the jpeg size through the roof).

Interesting composition and treatment...I'd love to see the full image. It hold together well as an organic abstract of color, line and texture...I would be interested in seeing a bit more of the detail brought back into the image just for comparison's sake...and perhaps to have a bit more at the top, bringing the line of the road/path through the vineyard down just a bit. Nicely seen..nicely done!

Thanks for the comment. I cranked up the detail on the original & I guess the full version isn't too bad.



This particular vineyard is in Green Valley (one valley over from Napa)...

Very interesting, Micheal. Certainly an OOTB composition! The lines and the repeating patterns along with the colors and texture provides the abstract nature to this composition. The upper part of the image helps as an anchor; I like John idea of bringing the path down just a bit. A pano crop could be another alternative. Nicely done!

Michael, When I first saw the OP I thought a crop from the bottom but then I scrolled down and saw your repost-I like it!! The tiny hint of red at the top catches my eye but you did a great job creating a different look!

This is such an unfamiliar scene for me, Michael. I like both, very much. They have an attractive color blend and geometric component. Great subject and comp. What is the small, gray, rectangular shaped object at center right in pic 2?

I get a kick out of this image because the actual photograph is so, well, mundane... though the geometric patterns were appealing. I'm really pleased with the latest versions of the processing software that I use starting with PS CS5, Capture NX2 (for Nikon raw conversion), and the Topaz suite (Adjust, Simplify, Denoise, Detail, etc.).



The boxes are some sort of measuring equipment (I think) humidity, moisture, that sort of thing... & the red thing, Denise, is a bit of the telephone pole .

Michael: Thanks for sharing the original image. It shows what post-processing can do! In looking again at the second image, I would clone out the white measuring equipment, and maybe the red pole. Good work!
