    This is majestic, though best seen at a better resolution

    One of your very best, the pose detail and the snow are just wonderful

    Well composed and of course exposed. :)

    Two questions: Was the falling snow messing up focus, hence the manual focus? Is that water in the BG (looks like ripples on the left)?

    I like the gray BG.

    Yes, on both accounts. FYI- the more inclement the weather the shorter the focal length I try to use.
