Nice environmental shot. Sharp where it needed to be. I can see what you mean by camouflage.

this is a tough bird to get in flight and you did well, my only suggestion is to get rid of the frame and use all 1024 pixels to show the details. A beautiful photo does not need a frame IMO ;)

I agree with Arash - I do not think you need a frame for posting here. Nice image though of a hard to photograph species.

Interestingly (and I'll point out that my eyes are not as good as Arash's) I did not notice the frame, so taken was I with the bird. That said, of course Arash is quite right...a good photograph never needs a frame...use those pixels...show off!

Well caught a really great action shot - very difficult bird to photograph let alone in a pose like this - one to be proud of.

Great job catching this guy in flight. Just finding one in the marsh is tough enough. Sharp and beautifully composed (except for the frame).

    Hi Guys,

Thanks for your comments. As for the frame,..i think it is all a matter of taste. Some of the photographers on this website have been using frames for years and i have never been bothered by them but instead think they can make the image stand out a bit more. As said it's just a matter of taste.

    greetings,

    Jeroen Stel

This is a superb image, Jeron. Getting a bittern in flight with a great pose, depicting the habitat without distracting is just incredible. Top notch work!
    PS: love the eye.
