Having no presents to open we made an early start just after sun up and we got our first present after all. This Roan was remarkably placid although it did have a "mad half hour".

Ticks all the boxes here Ken, the lighting and pose on this young one is first rate and always nice to see this species.

Ken - it works for me too - nice light, pose, comp and the munching grass adds to it.

The light really helped brign out all the details here.....very nicely done.

Nicely done Ken, like the soft light, detail and munching grass.

I like the bands of colours here, and of course the subject in soft light!
What happened during "mad half hour"?

    Morkel,

A "mad half hour" is the equivalent of a dog runnung around for no apparent purpose, much the same behaviour as you often see with Gnus, this Roan did the same but as it was alone it did not last long
