    40D, TC 1.4X II, 500 f4L IS, f8, 1/250, ISO 400, AV, AiServo, Eval. metering, WB cloudy. Taken from the open window today in Vail, AZ.

    Great details, iridescence and BG. I might put the bird a bit higher and further left in the frame, not much, though. I would wish for a bit more head turn toward you.

    Love the little guy !!!! Muy Bueno !!! Would crop a little tighter I think the space is detracting form the bird Love the true colors and feather reproduction !!! Excellent !!!

    Very sweet, I like as composed, maybe a bit more head turn to see the other eye.

    The is a beautiful image. I love the colour and detail, and minimalist look.

    However, I would be interested to know the rationale for the composition. As composed the head and eye are almost at the mid-line of the image and there is a lot of area above the bird that is devoted to background with no information. To me the bird seems unbalanced as composed, but I'm open to anything so if someone could explain why this is a good composition, it would be very useful.

    Striking color of the iridescent feathers that reflected the light back, and I just love the clean lines of the image. Beautiful bg, and crisp detail. I might take a bit off the top. The head angle isn't ideal - the bird's right eye is hard to see - a bit more of a head turn towards the left in the image might have been better. However, this is a very minor point, and I think the image is lovely.
