Another from my Tanzania tour. I don't normally leave this much room so don't faint.......as usual, I work a subject.

Simple and elegant. Very easy to oversharpen rollers but this looks good. Lovely BG. I like the comp and all the open space but personally I would trim off about 10 to 15% from LHS

Hey Roman, beautiful bird with sharp details against a very nice bg.
The negative space would probably have worked for me if the bird were looking to the left.

I like the pose and clean BG. I would crop in from the left as well. Nice image Roman.

Roman, I like the space but a small crop from the left will also work. superb BG. details, eye level shooting angle, colors...everything looks good.

Nice, subtle illustrative quality to this one Roman. Had to double check the poster when I saw all that space . Nice BG color for the bird.

High IQ and an excellent bg to compliment the roller. Nice perch.

Hehehehehe.....just wanted to show I can leave all that space......more often than not......I choose not to! That's why the Sigmonster rules!!! You can decide how you choose to compose because of the zoom capabillity.......although in this case later......I had to drive closer! Thanks all, will revisit the crop for sure!

    Roman:

For you, this is clearly outside the box, so much space!
Good to shake us up a bit.

I do agree, because of the angle of gaze, a small crop from left might work well.

I find the sharpening right on the edge of being crunchy on some of the finer feather details. However, Arash reminds me that my images are often under sharpened, so perhaps just me.

If you are up for a bit of fiddling, I might trim off the very end of the perch where it exits the frame on the right.

    Cheers

Hey Roman, you have brought out the colours on the roller so well, and I feel the sharpness is spot on. Perfect pose, and against such a clean OOF BG. Im one for lots of space, but a touch less on the left wont harm the image.
