    Default Skulky Bittern










































    Skulky Bittern early mist clearing leaving alot of dew on the causeway then the bittern appeared and crossed it observed from reserve hide shot

    taken handheld.

    Little work done in photoshop 3 sharping/ burning.

    i know things look different sometimes but this is lighter on here than my original so it could be the same on my previous post`s.

    Hi Don, you have captured two nice poses with your bittern images. I like this one as it shows a different behavior. I would be tempted to invest the effort required to evict the grass blades that are in front of the bird as well as the one behind the bill. That would bump this image up a notch in my book.

    Thanks Kerry point taken i think i have a shot without the blades showing in a sequence of shot`s i have of this bird i will post at a later date many thanks Don.

    Don,

    I like the grass it adds character shows environment and adds to the sneaky pose - with the exception of the blade that intersects the bill. Use clone tool in PS and there is a function in CS5 called healing brush that works most of the time unless the background is too complicated to blend.


    You certainly have the posting protocol down and sharing nice images. This one I especially like because it is unique and shows the subject with different behavior - well done.

    As I stated above the composition is unique but too much negative space on the bottom IMO. Take a small slice out and force the eye on the subject and its behavior, thats the story here.
