    A common goldeneye doing a wing-flap at the edge of melting ice last April. I like how the feet are visible just under the surface. 20D, 500 f/4 +1.4X, 1/1500, f/11, ISO 400. Cropped for composition. Comments are welcome.

    Yes, very nice, Steve! Great job on the exposure. These guys are so tough to get right. I like the eye contact! The ice makes an interesting bg.

    Great angle, pose, setting and moment captured. It would have been great to see both wings.
