I thought I would post this for all of you photographing in that lovely sunshine you have.

This is one of the hides that has been used for almost 30 years in deepest Finland, about 3 miles from the Russian border where I was photographing the other week. That morning at approximately 9.30am just as the sun was rising it was a barmy -25 degrees, fresh.

Artie if you do read this, the hide was used by and built I understand, by Hannu Hautala.

That's a little bit of snow alright! We've actually been having an extremely mild winter here. I'm amazed that the hide has been standing for almost 30 years. It certainly doesn't look that sturdy.

Christopher, if only I had managed to get a shot of the inside, it just gets better.

Not quite en-suite Shaun, but it was light and airy.

    Hi Andrew, that's centigrade.

True, you don't have an air horn for emergencies, or for one guest, more ice for his G&T!!!

    Although both have outside washrooms.
