Hello! It brings me great delight to post this happy picture. Last night I posted a more docile look at the same bird, but tonight I feel excited and am so posting this! Taken with the 7D, 70-200 f4. iso800, 1/800, f4. It's been cropped, obviously, and the levels have been slightly adjusted. But otherwise I am keeping things simple and will of course welcome any comments and suggestions from any of you fine folks. The sweethearted little falcon is perched in front of Lake Ontario in southwest Toronto. Voles are delicious, we all know that, but I must ask: is she saving the guts, so lovingly splayed, for later?

Messy eater! Thats a lot of "packing" to come out of such a small animal. I suppose if the kestrel wanted to eat grass/vegetable matter it would get fresh itself.

Sure! That's the way guts work, after all...aren't human intestines 10x longer than our bodies, give or take? Yikes! Anyhow...
