I'm pretty sure this is a species of Ophion wasp. It was attracted to my moth lights last night.

Shot in the foam board lightbox.

Cropped, curves, contrast, SH, high-pass and smart sharpening. I wish there was a bit more room between those 2 legs on the left. The were barely separated and I did a little work on the right one to make the gap slightly bigger but I didn't want to go overboard.

Love these studio shots, Ken! Nice pose, composition, and details. I like the hint of shadow under abdomen, curious to see what a tiny hint of shadow under the front feet would look like.
    Nicely done!

Beautiful specimen! I see what you mean about the leg, but it's no dealbreaker for me. Well done!

Hi Ken. You nailed this one!! I think this is your best lightbox image so far. Excellent lighting, sharpness, and DOF. The only thing that bothers me (just a little ) is the front leg seeming to originate from the antennae. Nevertheless, this is a very strong image and I would be very happy if it was mine.

Wow Ken!.....very impressive! What magnification did you achieve here. IT looks like 2x or more! I too wonder what some well placed shadows would look like!
